Wolfe City is located in Hunt County. Wolfe City has over
two thousand citizens. Wolfe City was once called Wolfe Mill but was incorporated
as Wolfe City in 1887. Wolfe City had its first business in 1870 when Wolfe
Mill was constructed by Mr. Pinckney Wolfe. The Wolfe City economy was boosted
when the railroad laid tracks alongside the growing Wolfe City community.
Wolfe City has remained a small community since Wolfe City was established
in the 1880's.
