Wimberley is located in Hays County. Wimberley has had many
previous titles. It received Wimberley as its name in 1880 in respect for
Mr. Pleasant Wimberley mill owner. Wimberley is north of San Marcos. Blanco
River runs through Wimberley village. Near to Wimberley is Cypress Creek.
Wimberley has over 4000 citizens, it students are served by Wimberley ISD.
Visitors to Wimberley can play golf at nearby Woodcreek. Wimberley covers
almost sixteen square miles. Austin is forty miles from Wimberley. Many
visit Wimberley each month for the popular Wimberley crafts markets. Wimberley
has long been a commuter town. Wimberley hosts an annual Rodeo event in
July.
