Temple is located in Bell County in Central Texas. Temple
has over sixty thousand citizens. Waco is about thirty three miles from
Temple. The city of Temple is adjacent to Interstate 35. Austin is over
an hours drive from Temple. Temple was first settled in 1881. Temple got
its name in respect for Mr. BM Temple a railroad employee. Today Temple
is home to many medical institutions. Temple has many medical students and
two campuses. Near to Temple is Lake Belton with good fishing. Other places
near Temple include Mother Neff Park. Visitors to Temple can walk and camp
at this state park. The nature center at Miller Springs near Temple has
over two hundred and fifty acres and has been used by temple students as
an education resource.
