Sonora county seat of Sutton County. Sonora borders the Texas
Hill Country. Sonora has over two thousand residents. Sonora public schools
are served by the Sonora ISD. About seven miles from Sonora is the Sonora
Caverns. These Sonora limestone caves have remarkable crystal formations
that have brought visitors to Sonora for many years. The wildlife sanctuary
in Sonora at Eaton Hill has walking paths through part of its almost forty
acre Sonora site. As Sonora is on the migratory pathway of many species
of bird it is a good viewing point for Sonora birders.
