Seguin is in Guadalupe County. Seguin was previously known
as Walnut Springs. This was changed to Seguin in respect of Col Juan Seguin.
A statue of Col Juan Seguin now stands in Central Park in the Seguin Town
Square. In 1853 Seguin was incorporated as the city of Seguin. The Texas
Lutheran University has been located in Seguin since 1912. The Seguin Museum
holds many artifacts and photographs from past events in Seguin history.
Seguin has an exhibition of veteran aircraft at Seguin Aviation Museum.
