Odessa is in Ector County. Odessa is home a number of higher
education establishments, the Texas Tech University Health Center, University
of Texas Permian Basin and Odessa College. Odessa has a number of Museums
to explore. The Ellen Noel Art Museum in Odessa is a popular gallery and
has many sculptures and also an interesting sensory garden. Located nearby
is the Odessa Presidential Museum - the Bush family used to live in Odessa.
The Parker House in Odessa is a dedicated Ranching Museum. It has exhibits
showing the history of Odessa and featuring significant citizens of Odessa
and their contribution to history. The Odessa Ice Hockey Team are called
the Odessa Jackalopes.
