Livingston is the county seat of Polk County. Livingston has
over six thousand residents who are in the Livingston ISD. Livingston got
its name in respect for Mr. ML Choate who donated the land where Livingston
was eventually developed. Mr. Choate had been born in Livingston in Tennessee.
Livingston has a number of parks including Matthews Park and Pedigo Park.
Livingston has miles of walking / jogging trails. Livingston Golf Course
has a nine hole course. Livingston has its own Livingston Municipal Airport.
