Liberty Hill is in Williamson County in the Texas Hill Country.
Liberty Hill has over fifteen hundred residents. Liberty Hill is fifteen
miles from Georgetown to the west. Austin is just over thirty miles from
Liberty Hill to the southeast. Liberty Hill is located near the San Gabriel
River. Liberty Hill was named by the postmaster William Spencer in 1853.
Liberty Hill like many towns had to relocate when the railroad did not pass
close enough to it so Liberty Hill moved nearer the railroad. Liberty Hill
covers an area of five square kilometers. Liberty Hill has its own Liberty
Hill Independent School District to provide its educational requirements.
