Lancaster is in Dallas County. Lancaster was named after the
birthplace of Mr. Honest Bledsoe who was born in Lancaster, Kentucky. Lancaster
was incorporated as the city of Lancaster in 1866. Downtown Dallas is just
a fifteen minute drive from Lancaster. Lancaster has over thirty three thousand
residents mostly within the Lancaster ISD. The bank in downtown Lancaster
Square was robbed in 1934 by Bonnie and Clyde. Lancaster has good air links
and to supplement the DFW airports it has its own Lancaster Municipal Airport.
