Kingwood is a pre-planned community in Harris County. Kingwood
sits on Lake Houston. Kingwood is a community occupying a land area of fourteen
thousand acres. Downtown Houston is just twenty five minutes drive on Highway
59 from Kingwood. George Bush International airport is only a fifteen minute
drive from Kingwood. Annual Kingwood events include a Mardi Gras and free
Kingwood Concert event each February. Kingwood has over seventy miles of
trails and walking and cycle paths. One of the best known former Kingwood
residents and World Champion boxer is George Foreman. Kingwood has also
been used as a film set location for the movie Tin Cup at Kingwood Country
Club. Kingwood is home to the corporate head offices of Adminstaff.
