Ingram is within Kerr County. Ingram stands on
the northern bank of the Guadalupe River and is located in the Texas Hill
Country. A small community sprang up in Ingram in around 1880 and a store
was constructed and run by Mr. JC Ingram. The city of Ingram sits on Highway
39. Kerrville is just six miles east of Ingram. San Antonio is about sixty
two miles southeast from Ingram. The estimated two thousand residents of
Ingram are served by the Ingram Independent School District. Places of interest
to visit in the Ingram area include a replica of Stonehenge in England and
is found just west of Hunt. Ingram is a popular destination for people retiring
and for vacation rentals.
