that Hurst is a popular commuter town with people choosing this quieter
town to live while traveling into the DFW area to work. . North Richland
Hills is just three miles from Hurst. One of the first people who settled
in Hurst in 1870 was Mr. W. L. Hurst who built a house in the area that
has now become Hurst Boulevard. In 1952 Hurst was incorporated as the city
of Hurst. The DFW Airport is one of the biggest employers in the Hurst region.
