Hewitt is in McLennan County a suburb of Waco, Texas. Hewitt
is just five miles from Waco. Hewitt was given this name in respect of Mr.
George Hewitt who worked for the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway Company.
Hewitt has good road links as it sits on Interstate 35. Hewitt was incorporated
as the city of Hewitt in 1960. Fort Worth is about eighty six miles north
from Hewitt. Hewitt has two park areas they are Warren Park and Hewitt Park.
Nearby Baylor University is only a short drive from Hewitt.
